With a cruise ship, they charge based on people. This covers not just room costs, but helps them to prepare for how much food will need to be made and other things such as seating arrangements for dinners, and to keep attendance to make sure they have an exact count of how many people are on board. There are many types of rooms typically on each ship

Well, this is also why we do things as a "group" and in the past we book our group through a travel agent. They usually are able to swing very good deals and for the most part are rather up front with pricing and making sure you know what any other costs may be. We've found in the past that the cruise line's love groups and not to say they cater to the group more, but you at times may notice they recolonize you as being part of a group on the ship rather than just a simple guest floating about. Keep in mind, like buying a flight, prices may change as the date gets closer for any cruise. The nice thing about booking as the group is the price does not fluctuate as much as they negotiate a set price. Even with saying that, the closer the date, sometimes they have to negotiate again to keep our booking dates open further to allow more people to join in at later dates.

Hi sorry for the delayed reply this morning was quite busy. i have our travle agent looking into the question of single ocupency at the moment the ROUGH guess at the moment is take the posted price times 150% (option 3 interior room being $730ish for one person) and plus taxes ect that should be in the naborhood but i hope to have a exact figures along with Royal Caribbean single cruiser polcy available soon.
our doubble person prices above have all taxes and fees included unlike most on line searches

We will look into this more and let you know for sure, prices will vary per cruise option. Don't forget you can always snag a random roomie of the lj group here if needed too. The amount of time you spend in the room too is rather minimal. I think I used the room for sleeping and showering. All the rest of the time is spent running around the boat exploring, running around the islands, or relaxing at the bars. There is simply too much to do, on any of the ships. :)
Also, keep in mind that there may be other single cruisers who are interested in going and wouldn't mind sharing a cabin, such as myself. Of course, if you're looking for a solitary room then...
in past years everyone for the most part wished to travle on the cheeper rates of doubble occupancy or had no intrest in the more expensive rates of single cruising. the choice of wording may need a looking at but for the above pricing it is acurate i will have an answer about single cruising as soon as our travle agent gets a call back from Royal Caribbean
