New Job!
I got a new job! I'm going to be a cashier at Hannaford, a supermarket chain around here. I had orientation on Friday, so now I'm just waiting for my training schedule. It's not my dream job, but they say there's room to move around in the company, and it should help pay the bills. Better yet, it doesn't seem to have a built-in termination date like my last job, so I shouldn't have to worry once I pass my probationary period. Maybe after I'm done with school, I'll put in for a transfer to the research division.
Speaking of which, I recently discovered that, due to a miscalculation on my part, I'm short three credits, and will have to take a course next fall to finish my degree. It kinda sucks, since I had been all happy about graduating this spring, but there's not much I can do about it at this point.
The worst news of the week is that Toby, the cat who's been my best friend and confidante for over 20 years, died on Thursday. We buried her in the backyard next to her sister. I'm really going to miss her... This bumps Snowfur up to the top of my list of people I can talk to. I just hope he's up to it.
