Obsolete?

It is still surprising to look out of the large windows and see metal, glass and lights stretching towards the heavens. Even more of a shock to see that the home we are in is doing the same thing. I managed to sneak my own training in this morning, though I will admit I was distracted by the kame and their own training. I now have a better idea of just why Chizu can seem to fly at times.

The attempt to return to the right time though failed and it seems that the hope of returning within the week is fading fast. at least I have my swords again- not the same one but close enough to keep me satisfied for now. Though the girl Starlee added some sort of light shield to them- it very strange but it does help.

We met some interesting character today, would be abductors of our young host. They called themselves the Inowashi Gunji- despite what they attempted I only hold pity and understanding for them. They were warriors of an age gone by; honorable men that fought for honor and peace. It ironic how often we soldiers forget that the peace we strive for will often be our own demise- and not in the form of death.

They were obsolete, un-needed in the peaceful era and rooted in their beliefs could not change with the times. I've known many samurai who took the road of Seppuku rather then face a world where they were no longer the powerful feel and passion of battle. I fought as always, to survive and allow my opponent an honorable Death- but Miki-chan stopped my blade. I know why he did so, he reminds me so much of the Warrior monks, but it still made me sad to think I could not free the Inowashi. I hope they one day gain the freedom they want.

It seems though that I may be able to move about more- Cody-sama's uncle Darius Dun has offered me a place as his yojimbo. And I have accepted, it will at least feel a bit like home and it gives me permission to carry my sword. Another benefit that I am thankful of.

fast forward tmnt plot ep 02, new sword yay!, working for darius dun, inowashi gunji
