They really are both beautiful cats and so very different in temperament from each other.
With both of you being busy professionals, how do you manage with two kittens? It isn't easy. There are actually 3 of us since our daughter also takes her turn. J feeds them in the morning, we are currently coming home at lunch to feed them (we work only about 11 km from home) and Jen feeds them at night. We will be taking them to the cottage (they each have their own carrier) whenever we go but we are closing the cottage this weekend so this will be the last trip for a while. They will be indoor cats only (except for maybe short visits outside on a harness and leash). It is not safe for cats to be loose up north as there are too many wild animals such as raccoons, bears and possibly even wolves. At home we often hear coyotes in nearby fields and cats are often attached by coyotes so we prefer to keep them as indoor pets only.
I don't blame your sister for visiting the animal shelter. After Patches died in June, we missed him so much that we were dropping into the local pet store every week just to see the kittens/cats.
