I enjoyed this fic for several reasons. Warning for a long winded comment.

It's true. Mulan almost feels embarrassed but that dissipates when Aurora hums a few notes defiantly. Mulan stares at her. She thinks about how this is somehow something she's grown to love about Aurora, how Aurora does whatever she wants, whenever.

I liked this because I imagine that's exactly what would annoy Mulan and attract her to Aurora at the same time. And also, Mulan is herself a woman who did what she wanted (or rather had to do) regardless of rules.

She heads back upstairs, bars of moonlight falling through cracked curtains and pieces of furniture looming in the dark like beasts asleep.

You had beautifully detailed imagery in this fic. It was great.

Just the other day Mulan had tried to show her how to make cake, but Aurora had folded whole eggs into the batter.

The little Disney hints were much appreciated.

Oh man, it's so nice to hear that you enjoyed this so much!

I had a really great time imagining them in a domestic, real world setting, while trying to work in their individual annoyances with each other and then going, yeah, but and showing how much they really get each other! Also, Disney references ftw, and of course Mulan and Aurora being adorable is just the best thing.

I want them to fall in love in the show, is that too much to ask????
