Anniversary and the proposal
Today, April 30th is the official anniversary date for Ryan and me. We just had some sushi together and watched Ace of Cakes later. It was a short sweet time. <3
For those who have been on Facebook, you may ignore the following segment because it is just a repeat of what you saw.
For those who have no idea wtf is going on, read on:
Ryan and I went to High Point Park in NJ for our 8th year anniversary on April 26, 2009. It was a beautiful (and super hot) day, clear blue skies with some puffy clouds. :D
We walked around on a couple of trails, took a scenic drive through the park, admired the view on top of the observation deck, and explored the WWI monument built on top of the highest hill in all of NJ.
After dinner outside on a picnic table, we went to the west most hill we could find to watch the sunset. We sat on a rock, admired the view while constantly swatting fruit flies away from our heads. After a few minutes, Ryan got slightly irritated and muttered, "I guess I should get this done and over with." I looked at him, tilting my head and watched as he gets down on one knee. He takes out a box and says, "I love you, for you showed me what love is. Will you marry me?" Of course I said yes a few times, while he puts on the ring (and I had to remove a ring that was previously on that finger), and we hugged and kissed.
Irritated that the bugs were still swarming over us, I stood up suddenly, pointed in the direction of his car and shouted, "LET'S GET THE HELL OUTTA HERE!" We then jogged away (from those pesty flies) to his car and we drove happily ever after.
and in terms of a wedding?
not for at least 2 yrs. no planning yet. Ideas? locations? suggestions? all welcomed.
