Ms Bellum had taken her luggage to her room and spent a few minutes freshening up before striking out to gather more information on Momoko's progress. She checked her data-pad - yes, this was the office of one of Momoko's teachers this semester. She knocked.

"Excuse me. I'm looking for a Professor Maximus?"

"Come in," Max called. Female voice. Maybe she was good looking!

Ms Bellum shook off an odd shiver and opened the door, entering the room with a business-like air. A very sexy business-like air, but that really couldn't be helped. She dropped her data-pad to her side and inclined her head briefly. "Professor Maximus, I hope?"

"Max, please," he grinned smokily. "Maximus is such a mouthful."

Ah. Ms Bellum did not roll her eyes; she was a professional.

She moved to a chair and took a seat. "Professor Maximus. My name is Ms Bellum. I'm here to inquire about a student of yours. A Miss Akatsutsumi. Momoko Akastutsumi." She placed her data-pad on her lap and poked it once with her stylus. "My information says she's in your Tactics class?"

Max could read a brush-off when he saw one. He just smiled and leaned back in his chair. That wouldn't stop him from appreciating the view.

"Your information is correct." She wanted to do business. Fine. Business could be fun.

Ms Bellum had no problems with business being fun. She adjusted herself in her chair and crossed her legs, the data-pad resting on one knee as she twirled her stylus.

"Thank you. And is she attending classes regularly? She had some problems with attendance at her previous school due to health issues. Have those carried over?"

Max let his eyes follow the movements of those long legs.

"None. She has attended classes and contributed to discussions and exercises."

The twirling of the stylus stopped and Ms Bellum jotted some notes on the screen, then smiled at the Professor. "I see. So she's caused no disruptions and is minding in class?"

"She is," Max nodded. "She is an enthusiastic student. Sometime a bit too enthusiastic, but she does pay attention."

"Momoko has always been enthusiastic, unless she doesn't enjoy the subject. I've known her since she was thirteen." Ms Bellum noted his comments in her data-pad while voicing her own. "Thank you, you've been very helpful. Have you been teaching here long, Professor?"

"About five months, so not too long."

"And what is your relationship with Momoko?"

Ms Bellum was technically on the clock during her entire trip, but she was willing to reward the professor for the information she'd received. She leaned forward and sensually brushed nothing off her calf.

"I work for the Mayor of Tokyo City. Momoko is one of our special interns. She's been with us since she was in middle school."

Max smiled appreciatively at the motion. She was good. Subtle. Most women who looked like that failed to appreciate the value of subtle.

"Ah. So you're here on business," Max nodded in understanding. Maybe she had some time off...

"Official City business, yes. But it's personal as well; both the Mayor and I are fond of her. Thank you for taking care of her." Ms Bellum smiled warmly. "By the way, can you tell me if there is a place in town where they do not serve sweets?"

"No sweets?" Max repeated. "That is an odd request."
