In one discussion I'm looking at- sloth isn't so much laziness as it can be apathy, sadness, despair and regarding life as meaningless. A lot of which would seemingly fit Ulquiorra's character. And the despair part would also probably fit Ichigo (at least for this chapter) since Ulquiorra mentioned 'a fear like that feels like despair'(?).
It could be black rain. I'd hope it wouldn't be blood. o_o
And Ulquiorra's most likely a bat. At least that's what I can tell by the shape of the wings, plus someone in all for bleach said that the non-mangled Spanish is the word for "bat".
Sloth is... um, Rukia's opponent who's too lazy to fight himself and just keeps creating fraccion to do it for him? ;)
Ulquiorra looks seriously awesome in his released form. I think he just likes to talk, hearing his own voice and feel superior to his opponent. *g* I love that by now, Ichigo gan hold his Hollow mask for a lot longer than when he started out fighting these guys. He must have hoarded XPs! :D
But... Where's Renji? Ishida left him behind to go save Orihime, so where's he going? Perhaps he wandered off to find Byakuya and have a quick shag among the debris from fallen buildings. >.>
I like masakochan's explanation above for "sloth" -- Ulquiorra is so gothy.
I think Ichigo must have benefitted from Hueco Mundo the same way Chad has, which is why he can maintain the mask longer. (well that, and he's been doing a lot of fighting, too).
[I totally subscribe to the idea that Renji is off getting some nookie off his captain. *nodnod* I'm sure that's exactly what's happening. :D]
Ooh. It's a bat. That was mildly anticlimactic. *pictures Ulquiorra hanging upside down asleep from Arbola*
Anyhoo, looks like Ichigo's going to have a special cero to cope with as well, and Ulquiorra nearly sliced his head off! *wouldn't really call that holding his own, though I suppose for Ichigo being alive and not bleeding to death on the floor implies inevitable success*
Tbh this chapter just felt like a teaser. Maybe because of reading FMA first, but the panel with nothing but a pillar in it seems a bit too much. Oh well. *is jaded*

I want to know where Byakuya, Kenpachi and the rest of the captains are.
what are those black drops as Ulquiorra releases? Is it blood?
Maybe Ulguiorra's a vampire bat:P
This chapter was a let down for me. Maybe it's the poor scan quality. Although it's not surprising that Kubo is dragging this fight out.

Ahah. Ulquiorra gives "bat out of hell" a whole new meaning. :D
I think we can expect this fight to drag on for maybe 2 more chapters if not more! I mean, it's been in the works for years.

I'm still trying to figure out what Ulquiorra's released form is supposed to be.
I find this chapter hard to read, everything is so black. :/
