[After watching Bang stand there for a while with his mouth open, a pale amber eyed girl walks up to him from down the street.]

"Your tongue will dry out if you don't close your mouth."

[He still hasn't realized it yet. ]

I-I know that! I was simply taking a deep breath! Preparing my mind and body for this strange new place that I have wound up in!

"Hrm...."

[She nods a bit.]

"I'm new here too. They have me living down the street."

[furikazan]

"They?"

Who is this... "They?"

[hontobakabaka]

"I'm not entirely certain. No one seems to be. I would suspect whomever is running this town."

[furikazan]

To take people away from everything they know and love to live in this...strange town.

This reeks of an evil plot.... I, Bang Shishigami, must get down to the bottom of this and thwart whatever evil is being done to keep us here!

"Is Bang Shishigami your real name, or your soul's name?"

[furikazan]

[Now you're speaking his language]

Bang Shishigami is my all! From my body, right down to the very burning fire that is my soul! I pledge myself to protect those in need!

[She stares at him. The lack of emotion, or really ANY expression at all would burn a hole through the souls of lesser men as she gets absolutely no reaction at all.]

"You are very much like Mr. Yamada."

[To say that about Bang is an understatement.]

That is excellent! More people should share my burning passion for love and justice! I would like to meet this man someday, if he is anything like myself!

[hontobakabaka]

[Emotionless and quietly she replies.]

"He was shot... In the back... And died in surgery. The killer got a full pardon by the military. But he did try his best to defend justice with burning passion before that."

[Bang's expression goes somber. That's a horrible way to die.]

That's... awful. Having such a spirit and dieing like that....

"Every hero of justice I know has died pointlessly. Shot in the back. Shot by his best friend. Shuttle exploded going off to his honeymoon."

Well, miss, Bang Shishigami will not submit to the same fate! Besides, true heroes never die! They live on in the hearts of all those who believed in them, all those who believed in their causes! As long as someone remembers who they were, and why they fought - they will never die.

[Almost a slight look of emotion creeps into her face, not a positive one, a slight watering of the eyes.]

".......What is the point of fighting if you leave behind those who care? Just promise you will never be important to anyone and that thought will be acceptable."

It is not a matter of leaving them behind! Like I said, the legacy of a hero lives on in the hearts of those they swore themselves to protect!

I would never promise myself to be unimportant to anyone. It is not my job to choose that for myself. Choosing to live that life means that I have to stand idly by while others are suffering! and I cannot allow that! It goes against my master's teachings, it goes against everything that Bang Shishigami stands for!
