Cleaning out eggs
Hey guys, I'm seeking your advice today :D
My cat has brought in two wood pigeon eggs this week. They are nesting in one of our trees...
He's brought them inside with minimal damage, so I thought I'd clean them out and keep them.
What can you suggest? I was going to go down the hot soapy water route and swish everything out.

Just so this isn't a boring post, have a picture:
I've had this little display thing kicking about for 15 years. I finally cleaned it up and put something in it! Can you name all the birds?! ;)
Edit: Thanks everyone for your comments :D I've given them a clean out with some cotton wool and a good wash. I used the syringe because I didn't feel like putting my mouth near these...
As for the birds, on top is a cast of a kingfisher. Then crow, pheasant, jackdaw and tawny owl!
