Amazon Bad

I've had three unsatisfactory customer service experience with ordering non-book-merchandise on Amazon lately. What's going on? Is Amazon losing its touch. Are they they getting stodgy like Microsoft and Yahoo and Ebay?

I get better, faster service from newegg.com, even though they switched from FedEx 3-day (good!) to UPS (bad!).
