Because it's been such an explosive issue on social media and people can't seem to understand what's at work in regards to FurBuy staff surrounding recent incidents, I figured I might take a few minutes to explain some of the reasons we do the things we do and why. Response to the constructive portion of an anonymous comment (the other half was very impolite and nonconstructive, so was removed):

Thanks for "Blocking the haters" and their criticism of your site and how it operates.

Those who have been reasonable, rational and constructive in their feedback have not been blocked. When people result to cussing, name-calling, bullying and ad-hominem attacks they get blocked because that's not constructive or useful to the discussion. We have the right to block anyone, anytime, and for any reason. How hard is it to withhold the negativity and vulgarity when offering your feedback?

"Make it better by joining us." how do they join when you have no room for criticism.

Here your comment stands, in all of its criticism and with a polite and impartial response. Have you inquired about joining our staff and been denied? Has anyone you know inquired and been denied? How do you know you can't join our staff and participate if you haven't tried or don't know someone who has? We're open to all kinds of criticism and staff and we really respect and appreciate when we get constructive criticism that we can put to use. Bullying and name-calling doesn't help in any way.

there is no gain in your blatant slander to the person who has been victimized by your staff.

The only potential victims in this case from our perspective are the bidders who placed bids on the fraudulent auction and would have wound up being scammed had it been allowed to continue. As for slander, we haven't called-out or name-and-shamed anyone directly. We let the readers figure that out themselves as the individual in question has called themselves out all over social media for what happened. All we've done is explain our side of things and made it clear what conclusions we've come to regarding this incident and some of the other users and events surrounding it.

And you're absolutely correct that there's nothing to gain from shaming them - which is exactly why we haven't. We've only presented here what we've found to be true from our investigation and already explained why proof of that will not be presented.
