Syfy reports Irish ghost sighting
I was checking up on G00 S2 dubs yesterday up to the latest episode, and this came up on screen:
and I literally rolled on the floor my bed laughing.
A bit confused why S2 uses the TV version though, when S1 used DVD version. (...actually as I typed that sentence I figured out the answer, it's because by the time they had to finish dubbing, S2 DVD aren't all released yet.) They still cut so many scenes it's criminal :/ In episode 8, for instance, I think cutting the Feldt scenes where she talk with Allelujah and make up with Marie make her character look bad.
Being able to watch stuff in a language I understand well gives a different kind of enjoyment, though. Something more immediate, more impactful. That's why a good dub can be better than a good sub. 00 dub itself is kinda uneven. There are good ones like Setsuna, Lockon, Sumeragi, Soma, Feldt (though sounding a bit young for S2), the Trinities, Patrick, but some are a miss like Marina (who sounds whiny and not motherly). Well, at least my 4 favourite characters come out good, so yay. I think I even like dub-Soma more (sorry, Ogasawara-san!). Looking forward to hear Lyle in episode 20 (unless they CUT that due to being after the ED, gasp), but then Alex Zahara didn't quite reach MikiShin level in Neil's death scene either...
