How to wash dishes, a semi-open memo to the bitch roommate.

Rotate the little handle that has an 'H' on it until water is running out of the faucet into the sink. Allow the water to run until the water gets hot. Rotate the little handle back until water stops running out of the faucet.
Put stopper in the little hole at the bottom of the kitchen sink.
Locate your favorite dish washing detergent and squirt a small amount into the bottom of the sink.
Rotate the 'H' handle again until water starts running into the sink. Rotate the 'C' handle a little to add cold water. Not too much though. You still want the water to be as hot as you can stand. Allow the water to run until the sink is about 3/4 of the way filled with soapy water. Rotate the little handles back to their respective starting positions.
Place glasses/mugs/dishes/pans into the sink, generally with the least nasty ones first.
Locate your dish rag or sponge.
Get the rag/sponge wet.
Grab a glass/mug/dish/pan/etc and start wiping.
Test occasionally to see if the article is clean.
Wipe the surface with a wet finger. If your finger squeeks against the surface, you have removed all the grease/oil from it. Do this all over the item.
If you feel little bumps on the surface of the item which do not match the general texture of the item's surface, that means that there are little bits of food stuck to it. Continue wiping with your rag or sponge. If after a minute, the bumps refuse to leave, get a scrubber or Brillo pad and scrub the spots.
If the item passes the clean test, push the faucet over so that it is above the other sink and rotate the handles so that hot/very warm water runs into the sink. Move the item around under the running water until all of the soap is gone from it.
Stack the item in the dishrack for drying.
If there is no room left in the dishrack, locate a towel and begin drying the dishes by wiping them with a dry towel. Put them away. Repeat previous steps 8-11 until there are no dishes left in the sink. If there are no dishes in the sink, repeat previous steps starting at step 5. If there are no more dishes that require washing, continue.
Either take the towel and dry the remaining dishes in the dishrack or allow them to air dry.
Take the stopper out of the sink and place it on the ledge. Wait until the water runs out.
Rotate the handles and use the dishrag or sponge to wipe out the sink. Turn off the water again by returning the handles back to previous positions.
