Disclaimer: This is a rant. Odds are it doesn't apply to you personally. If I hang out with you, it doesn't; if it did apply to you, I would not be hanging out with you. You can be pretty damn sure about that

Didn't you know? Fanservice is only acceptable when it's aimed at heterosexual men! Because any other kind makes That Guy feel uncomfortable.
Also, when you beat someone over the head with Boris Vallejo, I hope you either take video or warn me in enough time to get there to see it, because that sounds awesome.
God, seriously. (See also: half of the online responses to Bioware games. OH GOD SOMEONE, SOMEWHERE COULD CHOOSE TO HAVE SEX WITH THIS GUY AND THAT THREATENS MY MANHOOD. Haaaaaaaaaate.)
I totally will. For posterity!
*Also* also, need to find you on TOR once I finish ME2ing it up. I have a Jediprentice named Aerilya on your server now, I believe.
Awesome! Message me? I keep typing your names from our previous exchange into the find-people thing, and it says you don't exist, so I think I'm having some kinda input issue.
Oh, I suspect I will have many thoughts. Just finished Tuchanka, where Mordin made me cry like a little girl. Also want some kind of mod where I can romance both Garrus and Thane, dammit. Choice is painful! Harem option! Also cookies!
And Samara is awesome. Seeing Samara's clothing options, and then running into some Internet guy being all "blah blah fictional werewolf isn't hairy enough", is what inspired the post above. Because really, That Guy, this is not the time to pull that shit.
If there is ever a time to pull that shit. Which: no.
It's being weird about letting me friend people who I know exist on the server as well, so I'm not sure what's up with that, but I will message you! (I did also get my Jedi Knight's name wrong - it is Maia instead of Maya, whoops. But I suspect this is not the issue
( ... )
And he SINGS GILBERT AND SULLIVAN. Oh my fucking God, that scene.
(especially since the game seems determined to force Shepard to hit on him, SHE JUST WANTS TO HAVE A FRIENDLY CONVERSATION, STOP THAT)
Oh, dude, I *know*. Had that in Origins with Leilana, too. Jesus, Bioware, I am actually NOT trying to hit on everyone I talk to. I realize that I am a hot superpowered badass, but could I avoid breaking hearts all over Ferelden/known space?
Grunt, for example, is weirdly adorable in that way in which the Mass Effect games have a bizarre genius for making things cute that should not be cute, like varren and geth. And krogan.
Hee! Yes!
I mean, I have a soft spot for earnest and questioning robots--early exposure to Planetfall, what can I say--but one of BW's strong suits is actually making really compelling nonhuman characters. (Elcor. And Gree. I would play entire games devoted to either.)
Ahahaha, I love the Gree droids. I want to replace my ship's protocol droid with one of those, it would be the best thing ever. Purple parallel! Black bisector!
I have long since accepted that I am in fact highly predictable where these things are concerned. It's like a checklist: professional killer of some variety? Check. Chronic guilt complex? Check. Inevitably doomed? Check.
That was such an awesome and unexpected moment. In this add-on pack I downloaded there is a dossier on Mordin and all the 'community theatre' that he has done. Very funny.
I'm really digging ME2, but just like with Fallout, Dragon Age, etc. I want to go back and play it though at some point as a different gender/class/race/whatever and to make different choices/different dialogue options.
Also really glad to get Jack's alternate, and slightly more sane, outfit.
I could go into why I think fictional werewolves should be a bit on the hirsute side, but I don't think my lines of argument would be the same as those of That Guy. And would actually probably make That Guy put his fingers in his ears and make little keening noises of pain.
Yeah. Plus...discussing it in the abstract is cool. Criticizing the hairiness-or-lack-thereof in works which haven't established ground rules one way or another strikes me as akin to bitching about how Spiderman violates the square cube law.
(For clarification: this was werewolf-in-human-form. Werewolves in wolf form probably *should* have hair, unless you want them to be giant-were-hairless-dogs, which gets way more into the "sanity-bending horror" trope than it does any variety of paranormal love interest, and also, ew.)

I will also be interested to hear your thoughts on ME2 when you have finished it.

Also, re: Thane: us and doomed guys, huh? Good to know some things don't change...;)

Also, yeah. And Loyal!Jack, like Loyal!Grunt is amusing: "I like you. I still want to kill *everything*, but I like you."
