(no subject)
How would you feel if one of your best friends, who lives in another state on the same coast, told you she can't make it to your wedding because she is graduating from her master's program the day before? I want to know if I'm being ridiculous, but I think it's fucked up. If the tables were turned, I would graduate and then get on a plane from NC and make the trip to NY. She is one of my BF's and I haven't seen her in a while, but we constantly keep in touch and she told me she was coming and couldn't wait. Now, her graduation from grad school is stopping her (which isn't even the same day)??? Maybe I'm different, but I could have cared less if I were even at my graduation so I would have even considered missing it for her wedding--which I am not saying that she should do at all, but I'm just making a point. I feel if she were as good of a friend as I thought, she would do what I said before--graduate, have a nice little get together or whatever with her family that Friday and then come here Saturday. Am I asking too much or am I right? How would you feel? I want to know if I'm being a brat here or if my hurt feelings are validated.
