I fly to Florida tomorrow with my sweet love for his sister's wedding. Sanibel Island is supposed to be beautiful ... at least when it's not being targeted by a hurricane. It's my infamous family curse, we bring rain to every vacation spot we hit. Maybe we should plan a trip to Phoenix or Ethiopia.
So obsessive me is completely completely panic-stricken about this, and I've been following every NOAA update, every storm track projection. I would hate to lose a limb in a collapsing building, when I could be at home in the pool. On the other hand, I would hate to miss out on a vacation when there is just a threat of bad weather. But back on the first hand, these hurricane predictions have been pretty accurate this year. I wonder if they will use Disneyworld as a temporary shelter?
US Airways (I HATE THEM) who previously completely re-booked our trip, through Charlotte of course, without any notification, doesn't seem to be the most accommodating airline when it comes to weather emergencies.
At least if I am stuck in the airport for hours, I will have a deck of cards and will likely find other bridge fanatics.
