Do guys really take it personally if they are beaten repeatedly? At stuff from academics to athlethics? Just wondering.

Depends on the guy i suppose. With guys I know (myself included) there are always inner pangs of insecurity, but never enough to actually mention it, especially as I am more embarassed at the insecurity than my academic failings. But yes, most guys on some level really hate being outdone by others.

No problem. With Kelly, I often feel insecure because I have met few girls my ahe who are more intelligent than me, and I get jealous. But I wouldn't ever EVER change it, it's really nice having to explain things once.

hahaha. I can imagine most people like intelligent significant others... but hey, I could be wrong.

I don't think it's necessarily a "guy" thing... I know plenty of females who are much more competitive than most guys. I know for me, I can be incredibly competitive about some things, but not so much about others... I guess it mostly depends on the situation, the competition itself, and who I'm competing against... hope that helps!

alexander...are you saying i'm competative!?!?!?!?!? am not.

anyway, like ducey_the_jew said, it kinda depends on the guy. some guys have no problem with it...other can't stand to be proven wrong or come in second best. usually it's the ones with security issues in other things that have a hard time dealing with it. there's competative, and then there's taking things personally if they lose. big difference.

I most definitely did not imply that YOU were one of the competitive females... quit reading into it more than you should!

:-P
