I love you for many reasons, my friend, none the least of which is your ability to constantly challenge me. (I think such a contribution is worth praising.)
And, on that note: remember, if you're on its shoulders and you slit its throat, you fall when it falls.
Finally: I quoted you in my personal journal (the one I carry around) - last night, actually, after they'd served the main course. I sometimes write when I'm afraid of living, too; but, on other occasions, it's an expression of freedom rather than an escape from it.
i promise....

i promise u this danny mendoza... so help me god i will find this sandy- skinned woman and give her a piece of my mind (and my fist) for there is only room for one sandy-skinned woman in your life and that position is filled!! ;-) lol <3 ~Rachelle~
The beach can be damn sexy - I agree with you whole-heartedly. I just think that the sort of interaction that calls for the exploration of a woman, when it's a truly intimate experience, overshadows the inherent beauty of the beach. But, maybe I'm being too idealistic. :)
And, I can definitely relate to the use of writing as an escape for uncontainable emotions. Often times, when I'm bursting with a certain sentiment, I find that the most relieving sort of expression is found in the written word.
We emerge from ourselves to form our art, because art is the deepest level of self understanding, where there is no social boundary, where we all find ourselves the same and at the same time so beautifully unique, it is the level where all our faults become apparent and all the silent prejudices arise. It is the level where love, what we all talk about so easily with out having a fucking clue becomes understood. And it is with our art that our emotions run free and allow us to shape this world so perfectly, what brings us all together, what makes us all one. This generation will take this world by storm, and those who stand in our way will be brushed aside by the sheer power of this revolution. But what will make us different from the rest, what will separate us from all the past failed and successful revolutions, is that when we arrive to the top, we are going to look down at those who thought it couldn't be done, and all those who tried to stop us, and we will help them. We will help them to this perch of ours at the pinnacle

Fuck them. I stand on the shoulders of a giant, and slit it's veiny throat with my freshly sharpened pen.
