As I take the stage
I pray to a paper moon
and search for my light

------------------------

In Bohemia
sunrays kiss shores so sweetly
as skies fade to black

------------------------------

orange light
enters my room through a
musty filter
shows me a grainy film of the
smooth world outside
as the day settles into sleep

wind blows dew-drop peace
sways my sight into
the belief that beauty can be
calm
oh, so calm...

to the saddest among us
here is your proof
this is why I believe

------------------------------

a white paper bag runs at me like
a little lost puppy while
a man smoking in a suit skateboards by

--------------------------------------

cowering in darkness after
extinguishing the fires
they eat away at tasty flesh
not realizing it's their own

-----------------------------

The blessing of a typo
changing scared to
sacred
Just like Jesus
in the Garden
of Gethsemane

----------------------

the extreme contrapposto
of a man-child
asleep in khem class
dreaming of the better ions beyond
bonding more for love than comfort
teaching each other how to become
covalent
showing all atoms that
of all the compounds in all the world
she was meant to be pulled into his

so maybe if
his dreams were more
transient
we'd find them strewn about as we wander
through this oft-barbaric unreality
and then I might give
and iota of a damn
about whatever it is
we're covering in class
today

----------------------------------------

i can't see you
you won't let me

you close your eyes
and keep me blind

I was editing my poetry, and decided I'd post some of it. I have more to post, but I figured this was
enough for now.

In other news, my break has been fantastic; Miguel's film seems to be coming along well,
Finding Neverland was absolutely wonderful, I got to see Danny, I hung out with a few other friends,
and I got to see Natalie a couple of times :).

To Nat: last night really was wonderful. I miss you.

And now, back to college-related work. *shudders*
