"what is this?" my mother asked. "A skit from HEE HAW?"

Cheers to a crap-tastic weekend.

Let's go back in time, Marty. 88 MPH.

Friday: Ditched the George and Ed show friday morning to sleep in before I had to go to the DMV, meet my mom at the train station and then go see Scissor Sisters with Ang.
DENIED.
7 minutes out of thr DMV parking lot, after getting my license renewed, calmity showed her face.
I'm not going into it, but I assure you - a sore face later - it wasn't pretty.

Saturday: Got lots of housekeeping matters cleaned up on the homefront and headed to A.C. By 5 a.m. all Ihad to show for it was about 1,000 calories worth of spiced rum and whiskey sours, a fading buzz and an awkward ride home. MEH.

Sunday: Worked, and then headed to the Student Center to try to get some of my David Sedaris (YES!!!) speech written. No such luck. The research is going all right - and I am thoroughly enjoying the subject - but I just dont feel like working on this.

On my way from the Whit Office to the Pit a bottle of water in my bag managed to empty itself ALL OVER EVERTYHING IN MY BAG. Lady luck is a petty bitch.

My dear old managing editor dropped by for a nice little chat halfway through, so that was a good pick me up. And then the cutest little boy was selling candy for his school, and apparently, Adam said - I am never that nice. What he didnt realize was that kids, candy and cynicism have a magical way of combining to make me PLEASANT. ooooo, weeeeeeird.

So, now it's 11 p.m. in the Pit and I am still sitting here. Writing in my LiveJournal, still accomplishing NOTHING.

BACK TO WORK.
