Watching(Chapter 1)
Roy's eyes slid around the room, but always landed on the boy across from him, taking note that he wasn't really a boy anymore. His face was longer, thinner, more defined, as was the rest of his body, his hair not the vibrant, sunny color Roy remembered, but a pale silken ponytail. Still, he felt a wave of releif wash over him, knowing he hadn't let Ed die.
But...He had killed himself. He knew he had, had felt the gun shake with the force of the shot, felt everything go black. Yet, here he was, though he wsn't quite sure where here was. He reached to his head, but found nothing, not even a bump to indicate what he had done to himself.
The blond beside him stirred and opened his eyes, the only things remaining as Roy remembered them, vibrant a gold as ever. "You're awaaake" He yawned.
"Likewise." Roy smirked. "Maybe now you can tell me where the hell I am?"
"You're in Munich. The year is 1916." He sighed "Glad to see you're so happy to see me colonel...er, General"
"I don't work for the Amestrian military anymore, Ed."
"Oh, right..."
"So, uh...Where is Munich, exactly?"
"On the other side of the Gate, you know, an entirely different universe thing."
"I went through the gate? The gate you went through gate?" Roy sat upright a little shakily. "Are we...dead?" He took a moment to note that Ed was now his height. "You're...not exactly a shrimp anymore."
Ed's eyebrow twitched "Yes, you passed through the gate, no we are not dead, and I know I'm not a shrimp anymore. I am twenty after all."
Roy blinked "Twenty?"
"WOULD YOU STOP???"
"Is everything alright in there?" A nurse knocked at the door.
"EVERYTHINGS FINE!!!" They growled in unison.
A dizzyness hit Roy much in the way it had when he had pulled the trigger not to long ago, and he began to fall forward. His forehead collided with Ed's, who's hands went up instinctively to catch and steady Roy, but they only found air, and they toppled to the ground. "Stop what?" Roy mubled.
The same nurse who had been at the door opened it cautiously, not noticing the two men on the floor until Ed growled " Geoff me you idiot!"
"Who are you calling an idiot, once shrimpy shrimp?" Roy growled and the nurse turned to see a man in a hospital gown trying to strangle the blond beneath him.
"I'll just...come back then." The nurse said, trying not to laugh at the scene before her as she backed out of the door.
"Hey!" Ed called after her "Get him the hell off of me!!! HELP!!!"
