(no subject)
Hi family, sorry it's been so long! School was hectic for a while, as was the dorm life. But I'm safe and sound (and relaxed) in Southport now. I'm in the libary with Sophie. =)
So, recaps? Last week was the most horrible week of my life. I finally finished four of my papers and everyone left. Wednesday was especially panicky because I went to the library to type some of my paper and lost about 900 words. I saved the paper when I was done, but for some reason I didn't get the changes when I e-mailed myself the paper. Then it was Justin's last night and we all went out to eat. I went to my room afterwards because I didn't think I could handle the, uh, emotions? Yeah. It was horrible saying goodbye, but I did much better than I thought I would.
Thursday, Shannon, Courtney, Emily and I went to a rock club with Meghan and James. It was soooo much fun! That night was okay, but I almost cried AGAIN when Emily said goodbye because she was leaving early Friday morning.
Friday was fun too; we all went to St. James pub in Picadilly Circus. Unfortunately, my phone was pickpocketed. So now I have a new number. Yeah, that sucked. The worst part of the night was when Mike and Jamie left; it may have been because I'd had a couple drinks, but saying bye to them was really, really difficult.
That night, Courtney, Merry, and Katie stayed up all night. Courtney woke me up on Saturday at 8:45 in the morning, banging on my door, screaming, "MARY!! I made mimosas!" Yup, it was before 9am and she was drunk, she's so cute. About an hour later, she, Shannon, Meghan, Alicia, and Heidi made a mad dash for the cabs to the airport and THAT was the worst set of goodbyes. But, I didn't really cry, which was good. When I went back inside, though, I felt physically sick. I didn't really know what to think. So Glenn, James, Wing and I went to breakfast one last time, and I went back to the house and showered and packed and left. It was really, really sad. I'm better now, but at the time I thought that feeling wasn't worth the pain of that week.
But, I'm better now. I'll probably rewrite this later, but I just wanted to give an update. I have pictures from Ireland; I'll post those later, too. Love you all!
