Supporters of a resolution in the US Congress to label as genocide the mass killing of Armenians in Turkey after 1915 have called for it to be delayed.

The four main sponsors of the vote said they still believed a majority of their colleagues would support it, but only if the "timing is more favourable".

from here.

The timing is never going to be good. We're always going to have a vested interest in Turkey because of their oil or their location or etc., etc.

How long are we going to wait, exactly? Until 100 years have passed? Until every living descendent of the Genocide has died and we can conveniently just give in to Turkey and pretend that the slaughter of over a million Armenian women, children, elderly men, infants, and men were part of "civil unrest"?

armenia, news, armenian genocide
