On Saturday, I did the Arthritis Walk and raised over $1000 for the Arthritis Foundation. I don't know what possesses them to start the walk at 9 AM, though. Shouldn't they know about morning stiffness and fatigue? Anyways, after the walk,
xdarkxdjinnix,
loftgeek, and I needed to kill some time on the Western Shore before
xdarkxdjinnix's flight home. So, we visited
Bob and Graham for a couple of hours, which was, as always, delightful. It's so strange to be so comfortable around people who, when you think about it, I have very little in common with, except that I care about them, and they care about me. And sometimes, that's enough, and it was wonderful to visit with them. It'd been over a year.
After that, we killed longer than we planned on at the mall. Then, the sad event of bringing
xdarkxdjinnix to the airport and saying goodbye, after 2 weeks. I miss her. It took me a while to get used to her ridiculously high level of energy and metabolism, but I did get used to her. And now she's not here, and I miss having her around. At least she left me with over 6 gigs of new music.
Sunday we spent resting and I frantically tried to finish a book that was due at the library on Tuesday. Monday, I had PT for my shoulder (twice a week at my chiropractor's and I'm supposed to be icing it and doing stuff at home... that I haven't been good about doing yet) and finished the book. Yesterday I got a massage (we're trying weekly massages for me for one month to see if they help my fibro) and started a book that's due at the library essentially tomorrow. (It's actually due Friday, but I won't be able to drop it off on Friday because...)
This weekend, we're driving up to Massachusetts for Grandpa's funeral on Saturday at 2PM at GDA. Sunday, we're driving back, with my mom's cat, Min.
And then maybe by Memorial Day weekend, things with our cats will have calmed down enough for us to get some real rest.
