My weekend started on Friday with doing some last minute cleaning and preparing foods. While preparing foods I was listening Dr. Dre quite loudly when I heard a knock at the door. I didn't bother turning the music down since I thought it was just Ryan arriving to set up his tent. It wasn't. It was a sweet old Jehovah's Witness lady. She read me bible verses while Dre kept it real in the background.
Shane and Matt showed up and I finished cleaning while they carried pallets from the van to the back. Matt likes it in the back. Then I took them along to pick up kegs and brats. Matt was hungry so we HAD to eat lunch at Baumgartner's. Yummm. Then we picked up the kegs and drove the scenic route to New Glarus for brats. Matt is a very good navigator.
Then we got back and Eric jimmied up the freezer in the garage for the kegs. Zero ice was purchased last weekend. It was pretty sweet. Grace arrived and we speared some meat and veggies then waited for the Omaha boys to arrive. When they arrived we grilled ka-bobs, drank beer, played hippy horsehoes, and sat around the fire. It was a nice relaxing night.
On Saturday I decided not to drag everyone to Breakfast on the Farm. You're welcome everyone. Instead I made Breakfast Casseroles. Then we traveled to Monroe where the patient ones were rewarded with chili goodness, while others had Chinese goodness, and others had deli goodness. Then we went home and did more of what we did Friday night. This time with a teepee of fire!!! Oooo!!! Aaaahh!! Again, a good night was had by all.
This brings us to Sunday. Ans the best addition to Memorial weekend festivites... brunch at Weary Traveler!!! It rocked. We took that place over. After eating delicious foods we played frisbee golf, did some good beer shopping at Woodman's and returned to the homestead where parents were waiting. And then we did more of what we do at home. Yay!
Thanks for coming out everybody. Can't wait until next year!
