Left to right: aunt Helen, uncle Freddy, cousin Nicolas.
My cousin's here in Buenos Aires to study a semester abroad. Initially, I was opposed to the idea. I didn't want to "share" my city with someone from back home. But much to my surprise, it was a huge relief to hear all the familiar voices speak the same ridiculous minutiae. It was a breath of fresh air in the midst of all the chaotic nonsense of my "big city life".
I'll be heading home for a month or two in December, to recharge my batteries.
Barranquilla. Three years later it still seems like I can't escape the fucking place.
