Last night, I went to the bar to see my friend Chris and his friend Brian. There was this older guy there.. probably in his late 30's early 40's. We found out his name was Bob. He was sitting at the bar, alone, wobbling his head back and forth about to pass out.
After a drink, he bought all of us a jager bomb. It was my first one ever.. and it was bought by some guy named Bob. He was so gone, throwing money all over the table. At the time I thought it was funny and great, but then I realized how sad it was.
Bob threw down a bunch of money in a bowl where the pretzels were, and then we left. We went to the bar across the street, and Brian bought me and Chris drinks. I didn't want him to spend his money on me, so I offered to just pay, but then he showed me a bunch of bills all crinkled up that looked just like Bob's money. Brian ended up taking the money Bob threw down for tips or something so he could buy more beer. I don't know who ended up losing money.. the bar or Bob.. but after about 5 minutes, Bob followed us in the bar where he continued to buy people drinks and almost pass out standing up.
Anyways, now that I look at it.. it's sad. If I ever end up going to a bar when I'm 30-40 years old, by myself, buying kids drinks I don't know, someone punch me in the face. I hope he got home alright, and didn't spend too much money. Lonely people make me sad. Cute older couples make me happy though. And english bulldogs. And squish faced kitties.
