I'm still here!

I know you all think I dissappeared, but some crajy things have happened. I was called by some people in Wyoming to tell me the man who took care of the ranch for the last 20 years had died. My Sister wanted me to go back and get it ready to sell, but once I got here I decided I wanted to stay. The house was in awful shape after being empty for about 15 years. I have had electrical, plumbing, roofing and every other kind of work you can imagine done on it. for 3 weeks I stayed in a winnebago borrowed from the neighbors. The ranch is still turning a decent profit from the cattle and horses, and the hands have all said they will stay on. I have to find a new manager and that is hard around here. I really don't know how to run this place but I am trying to make everyone think I can so they don't cheat me. David boxed up my stuff and sent all the small stuff, and he has Misty for me, I miss her soooo much, He is going to come up at the end of the month and bring my furniture and Misty. Misty is going to love being able to run around the ranch. I am afraid she will run into a rattlesnake and not know what it is, so we will have to be careful at first. There are some other dogs on the property so she may learn from them. The cold weather was a shock! I guess I was more used to Florida than I thought. I had to throw away most of the furnishings in the house like sofas and mattresses and haven't had time to get new ones. I am sleeping on an aerobed and it is awful. I have to say though, I did not relise how much I missed all this space. I can ride for hours and not see another person. I have missed riding horses sooo much. I was saddle sore for 2 days the first time I rode. We have 12 saddle horses so I am trying to get to know them all. I find that I am busy all the time and I love it! I see a lot of things that like the house were just sort of let go. I will be spending a lot of time getting things cleaned up. I think we may even need a new barn. My sister will lose it when I tell her how much money I need to spend, she is only willing to keep the ranch if she still gets her share of profits. I am willing to put my money back into it becouse in the long run we will make more money. Well, I have so much more to say, but not enough time. I will update soon and let you know how it goes.
