Make sure to take pics of the piercing!!!!!!

Of course I enjoyed reading it, I wish you posted more often!!

Weeeell..It took my 5-6 months to lose 40 pounds, but by 2 months last year people were commenting on my weightloss. Now, I just maintain my fat, but this is what I wrote before:

First thing I learned was that you can still be "skinny" and the number on the scale can be low, but you will have high percentage of body fat. And the only way to get rid of it, and to build muscle, is to do strength training. That should be the core foundation of all your work outs. Cardio comes last. Doing weight training, then cardio helps speed your metabolism all day. I weigh in the 120's but since I've done nothing but cardio, and no weights, my body fat is actually 30%. Which is considered "fat". Don't confuse this with BMI. There is a huge difference. My trainer says he sees it all the time. people come in complaining that they're working out, but they're not losing weight or gaining body fat. And that's because they're not doing weight training or they're doing it WRONG. 95% of people quit because they don't think what they're doing is working because they're doing it wrong.

Also, men and women carry body fat in different areas. That is hard to get rid of it, and it's hard to build one pound of muscle and keep it, while building another pound. He made me stand up and showed me some different things, but he did compliment me and said I had a fine body and I'm probably wondering what fat they're talking about but it's hidden. I joked I knew where the fat was. People don't understand the word "fat", they just throw it around without educating themselves on what they actually should be doing.

Of course he talked about metabolism and eating. Of course eating 5-6 times a day, that means 3 meals and a couple of snacks (People get confused about what eating 5-6 times a day means). When you don't eat, your metabolism slows and you gain fat. Why do you think those Ethiopians have swollen bellies? That's fat, and it's trying to keep them alive. That's why I get irritated as shit when I see idiot girls not eating to lose weight. Yea right. And see how fast you gain that shit back.. But we're not talking about that right now. HAHAHA

So he showed me the weights, how to use them, what to do, and how to position my feet to work out different muscles in the same area. We just did my lower body/legs. I have to give them a couple days rest, which is what you're supposed to do. when you work out your muscle, you're actually injuring it and tearing it. So you have to let it rest. That's why they say legs on day, arms the next, etc. Your body needs 24-48 hours rest of one area. He said he didn't want to work me to hard because he wanted me to be able to sit on the toilet...this morning I knew what he meant! I also asked if any of the Classes(Pilates, Yoga) are considered strength or weight training, and he said No, because it doesn't focus on ONE specific muscle group/area and it's mostly cardio. Everything he said made sense.

I pretty much have everything down, my eating right, cardio, etc. He said all that's perfect, now I just have to do the weights. I always thought it was boring, or never worked, and that's because I was doing it wrong. But after working out with him, I never worked out that hard with weights. I was sweating, my heart was racing, and I actually felt the burn, which felt good.

And since I'm determined, and enjoy it now. I know I can do it. I'm excited. I lost all my weight last year, I've kept it off. My lifestyle changed for the better, and now I'm toning, and getting even more educated this year. And incorporating weights into my exercise, which is what your supposed to do. Depending on how much it costs for the Training Program, I might let him get me started on me, for the lil push. I already made my own workout chart with the weights/etc. Today is upper body/abs. I mean, he told me a lot of stuff I already knew, but he explained it more in detail, and I also learned new things that will benefit me. I'm by no means an expert now, but I'm a lot more educated. So many people are mis-informed.
