i guess that's what happens when your pilot episode predicts the deaths of over three thousand people mere months before it happens for real, and also hints that it would be nothing more than a clever ruse in order to invade some 'tin-pot dictator'.

exactly. heck, the pilot aired well before june. back in March or so IIRC.
Yea, i had totally forgot about it until a few months ago i was watching the DVD. I just about dropped shit when i saw that part.

well, who knows.
on one hand it could juist be a coincidence, afterall it's not like Condie Rice said, people knew for awhile that a plan could be crashed into a building as a result of a terrorist plot. Heck, the Japanese had been doing it since wwII.
on the other hand you have a popular spinoff of an even more popular show suddenly cancelled despite good ratings and devoted fans.
