I finished something this week
I FINALLY made it through Ranbir Vohra's China's Path to Modernization: A Historical Review from 1800 to the Present (2000). I bought this book for my Chinese History class in 2003 and I didn't read all of it, and judging by the fact that it took me 5 months to read it on my own, well, the reason should be obvious. But I finally did it! And now, I can move on to better books. I can start the book I borrowed from eac and jgcr, Raj, about the making and unmaking of British India, or I can finally read the Derrida, or even this book, which has got to be easier to read than the one I just finished.
