So I've been volunteering at this place on Bay and Mission called the Western Service Workers Association (WSWA) and it's pretty cool.  I get to (am forced to) practice my spanish there and I've realized in the past week that I can understand siqnificantly more then I originally thought.  I can totally follow conversations, although being in one is very difficult. Even if I know what the word means when I hear it, partially from context, I can't just conjure it up when I need it.  But all and all this is awsome practice.  I've made and recieved phone calls entirely in spanish multiple times so far and even heard, translated and taken a legal benefit request all in spanish.  The people are really supportiver and it's and awsome org. so if any of ya'll feel like volunteering... spanish isn't like required and it's a great cause.  It's different from other volunteering I've done cuz it's not one day go for two hours and pass shit out and call it a day.   Although that's totally needed too and cool.  It's cool to see ppl who need the org turn around and give what little they have back.  There isn't a line b/t members who need food, clothes, legal aid, ect. and the volunteers to help provide it.  Members are encouraged to volunteer as well.  I've met some pretty amazing ppl.  I wish I could volunteer more there but when school starts we'll see. I know then time I'm there is gonna be cut by a butt load.  Needs to be if I ever wanna graduate.   But if there are ppl who are able hold down labor intensive fuller then full time jobs and a family of 4 young kids and still find it in them to help out and committ to a scedule no matter how small, then I'll feel like a failure in life if I don't.  I was lacking in heroes in my life to motivate me but i feel renewed now. I'm gratefull to be reminded of those that seriously have it not that great and still have faith and energy to go on.   Seriously.  There's a whole lot more to it but I hate typing.  If ya ever see me and ask about it, I'd definately talk.

Anywho...

ya me voy a dormir, porque a las 10 en la manana voy a hacer llamadas con otro voluntarios.

hehehe
nighty night ya'll
:)
