Okay, it's official. I'm sellin' the Katana. Need to start saving up for a downpayment on the new Kawasaki Concorse, a nice sport/touring bike. I'd been considering getting the current model because it's got luggage without being obnoxiously huge and the late 80's fairing style was pleasant to the eye. It was also cheap at about 9k for a new one out the door.
Well then Kawasaki had to go and
turn it into a damn Oreo. Now I really want it. More powerful engine, sleek design that manages to resemble the old style to a degree, and it's shaft driven. I've heard there's oddities about using shaft drive, but it means no more chains which has always been a big source of annoyance to me.
So, anyway. 1996 Suzuki Katana with a little under 29,000 miles (24k of which is mine), awesome condition (there's more skin damage from tools during maintenance than anything incured on the road) with a jet kit on the carbs. $1900
