I don't know how many of y'all have read "Oedipus Rex," but...
today in math I made a drawing of oedipus poking his eyes out and saing "aiiieeee!" while this guy next to him said "oedipus, you motherfucker!" Get it?
I saw "Boyz n the Hood" the other day. I really liked it. I thought the most powerful part was at the end, when Ice Cube starts to cry, and then the crackhead neighbor comes to buy crack and Cube says "Man, get the FUCK away from me, and keep your kids out of the street!" I don't know why, it just struck me. Also, I thought Lawrence Fishburne was masterful.
