instant pleasure for how long?

all kidding aside...im excited to announce the preeminent plans of recording my first full length Compact disc. I have about 15 songs in the can and the next month or so will be all about picking the 10 that have the greatest potential. Ive always been more of a spontaneous, improv-ish type of player when it comes to studio work and I don't believe this experience will be any different. Although I do want to know the definite song structures and drum patterns in my head or on paper before committing anything to tape. I want Greg and Ken to play drums on a few songs as I have never had any sense of rhythm behind a kit, if only. But music or almost any form of art is all about preparing for the journey. You envision the ideal situations you hope would transpire but know in the back of your head that when it all goes down it will be completely unique from what you saw. I just liken it to planning a trip with the aid of art and to me this seems to be the most satisfying part. You know at the end of it all youll end up with SOMETHING in way of a recording, because you've already written the 1st and last chapter of each song, the journey is how far or short you'll decide to go inbetween. I'll update on occasion.

~~~Namaste~~~
