So my dad has a 52 hour layover in Tokyo and he has suggested that I come with him which I am pretty excited about. The primary excursion on this trip is going to be a overnight hike up Mount Fuji to watch the sunrise from the peak. It turns out that the mountain is really only hike-able during July and August and that most people go during the week after the week we are going, so there won't be lines on the mountain (hopefully, unless it's coke: Kon-ni-chi-want it). Allegedly it is not an easy climb as we have to climb 2400 feet in about 6 hours which works out to almost 7 feet per minute, which shouldn't be too bad, but the lack of oxygen and the continuous nature of the climb should prove taxing. From the top we should have a beautiful view of the city and Godzilla's epic battle with the now irradiated Mothra.
Does anyone want me to bring them any Japanese stuff like:
- a kimono
- a shinto monk
- an irradiated peasant
- chopsticks
- an amount numbering not in excess of seven samurai
- Ken Watanabe
- saki
- mystical martial arts powers
- giggling school girls with giant eyes in sailors uniforms who also possess mystical martial arts powers
- out of date electronics that are seven generations ahead of ours
- tea
and just write down whatever sushi you guys want and if you want stir fry i'm sure they have a china town somewhere in Tokyo (ha ha they hate them, also that's too far to go for sushi silly, I'm mean sirry).
