So Sarah spotted a posting for a job on Friday and I applied that night. The next day I went down to tampa and the guy gave me the job. It's 40 hrs/wk at a reasonable rate until June 30th so I'll be spending most of my time in Tampa.
The job is through USF in the FCIT department and i'll be working mostly on Lit2Go as the engineer recording the audiobooks. You can check them out on iTunes, they have a lot of stuff and we'll see how much more I can get up there before June 30th. If you guys would like to suggest something to be recorded please do so. I, along with the two voice actors, pick what is read so if there is anything you think we should do I am open. The material is for k-12 and has to have been copyrighted before 1923- LAW!!!!! <- screamed like William Shatner's famous Kahn!!!!!!!!!!
This post has been spaced over several days as I've been working like crazy and too tired to write on this dumb thing so since the last thing I wrote I got $5k in studio gear and I'm pretty psyched for when it comes in next week.
BUT SERIOUSLY if there are ANY literary works that teachers should be forcing down children's throats OR just anything that you would like as a book on tape AND it is copyrighted before 1923 OR is available on the Guttenberg Project, then please notify me immediately because I am scrambling to find quality material that hasn't already been done by Lit2Go.
