OMFG I MET HEAD AUTOMATICA!
here's how it went:
i was in line with chello and mikey for like an hour, all the while angels and airwaves were playing what seemed like the same song the entire time. mickey and i were really nervous and had no idea what we were going to say. finally, we get up there and i see craig, the guitarist, doodling eyes all over the table and someone complimented him and i dont know what possessed me to do this but i asked him to doodle one on my hand. and doodle he did. as he did, jessie, the keyboardist(?) took my flyer and autographed it (he is so figgin hot) followed by craig. then larry(drums) and finally reach daryl. THE daryl! he starts signing my flyer, looks up at me, points at my neck and says "are you angie?" and i just smile. i didnt want to tell him that i am in fact not angie and that angie is my dead cat. so, i just smile and tell him "thank you so much. you dont understand how much "beating hearts baby" rocked. it made my life!" and he replied "yeah! you guys rocked during "beating hearts baby"! the crowd was really great during that one." and then jarvis(bass) just signed it. i love him. he is so funny. we took a picture and he nibbled on my arm! i didnt know what to make of it.
as we were leaving the tent, we look at the line and see its not long at all. so we slip into it again, letting all the people who hadnt seen it yet in front of us. we met this really nice guy named forrest. he was pretty cute too. chello took a pic of him and the band and he gave her his email so she could send it to him. finally i get to the front and am in front of craig again. im like "hi, its me again. i need 2 things from you." and he asks "what do you need?" and i extend my left hand and say "this one feels lonely. would you mind drawing me another eye?" he laughs and says ok. but then the security guard dude was like "another one? no. keep moving" and i was all sad and was about to walk away but craig already had a hold of my hand and said "no its ok, she doesnt want to feel like a cyclops...now, what is the other thing you need from me?" and i reply with "i have been overcome with the sudden urge to give you all hugs!" he awws and gets up and hugs me i thank him for the hug and the great show and i do the same with the rest of the band. jessie gives really nice hugs. daryl's, jarvis' and his felt the most sincere. i was in heaven.
