Okay, after many hours of nail biting I got the graphic novel version down to 136 pages. FG will be $30.00. This doesn't include shipping. That might be $5-$7.

I could still add 4 more pages and put it at 140 but this increases the cost of printing by $0.40. I know that doesn't sound like much but in the world of printing, it is. This would put

What you could do concerning character concept sketches and how to color stuff is either put it on the site or just have a little mini "behind the scenes" kind of book that's only a few pages (and you could make a few extra bucks). I love seeing concept art and stuff, and I'm sure everyone else does, too!

I'm going to be honest... as much as I LOVE your art, I probably won't be buying your book if it's going to cost $30, and I'm sure a lot of your fans on DA will be thinking the same thing when/if you announce it there. Since you are doing full color, and if you haven't 100% decided this is how it's going to be done, you might consider breaking the book down into two volumes

I think I'd be way more willing to buy the single issues, personally. I looked into self-publishing earlier this year, knowing I wouldn't make much of a profit, but then again I wasn't doing it for my livelihood, just for fun.

It is weird how a $30 art book at, say, 60 or more pages wouldn't be too big a deal, but a full-color comic, which could take as much time or more to do, is suddenly "Whoa, that's too expensive!". In fact, if you were to put out an art book for that price, I would probably be all for it and buy a copy. Weird how that is... then again, if I saw you at a convention selling books, and had the book in my hands, that would be more persuasive for me if I could see the finished product.

Someone sold black and white art books for that much? That's nuts. If I'm buying an art book at $20 or more, it's going to be in color.
