Happy (Late) Independence Day, Fanclub.
I wish I had some crazy and/or exciting news to divulge about my life at the moment, but unfortunately, I do not. Today was a fun and relaxing day for me and my lady. Last night we went to our friends' house for dinner, had a few too many drinks, then crashed in their guest room. Today showed us utilizing their pool, sharing lunch with them, and watching a bunch of NCIS episodes before we left. They're good people. After that, we went to the theater to watch 'Chef' and gorge myself on popcorn. Then we bought all the X-Men movies we could find and went home to watch some of them. (The X-Men movies were my wife's choice, by the way.)
All in all it was low-key. Which I think is good. Not to get too far into our personal lives - but this time of year and this holiday are a very trying time for my wife. As it was our first one together, and as I had no idea what I was doing to keep her mind off of stuff, I like to think it was a success.
We're heading to bed now, but I know it's been a while since I posted here. And I wanted to. I know it's short and relatively pointless, but at least it's something. 'What better place than here? What better time than now?' - Rage Against The Machine (I know how much Kate hates this band, so I'll leave you with that.)
