[unfortunately for John, Sherlock was a light sleeper. It was something he trained himself to be, just in case....well, anything. So a few moments after he feels the cloth of the blanket, he stirs awake, sitting up.

He notices the blanket that was given to him. Just placed, he noticed. The distant sound he heard must have been the door opening. John had just gotten home.

Quietly as always, Sherlock moved to the kitchen to where he expected John to be.]

Hello.

[He turns to look around the kitchen and then at John. Still groggy from his sleep, he shakes his head a bit to shake it off. ]

So I see you've been to the grocery store. What did you get?

[so he can experiment on it later]

Milk. [he stays silent for a moment, nodding to himself.] Yes, milk could be useful for a later moment, that's good.

[he blinks at the question. He must have obviously seen what he thought was a slightly embarrassing dream. When he was a teenager and Mycroft wasn't getting on his case as much.]

It was fine.

[He rolls his eyes leaning against the frame of the kitchen door.]

That's ridiculous John. As a doctor you must know that a human can only stay awake for a few days without experiencing neurological impairment. I, of course, do sleep, but for less time.

[he nods.]

Yes, it is. It is nothing but a nuisance.

I don't see what's so funny about it.

[he nods in agreement]

Yes, exactly. Though it makes it a lot easier to know people. The subconscious tells a lot more about one than what we try to show.

[a smirk appears on his face when John compliments the shot.]

He had it coming to him.

[eyerolls] From what I know of, there isn't a way. Unless your subconscious is strong enough to repress it to only certain people.

[he shrugs, thinking back of the day.] He told me I could get his chemistry set if I successfully landed a snowball on his face. He underestimated my aim.
