Merry Christmas, happy new year

I wanna say Merry Christmas to everyone, but in today's politicly correct society, I will say happy holidays to prevent offending people. Here recently I have been feeling not good... it's not that Ive been feeling bad, just a little lonely. I have come to the conclusion that i have no chance of a relationship with anyone i know, strictly because i know them. "what does this guy mean? hes insane." Well I think you know exactly what i mean. With all the people you know, you automatically decide if they are relationship material or not. Its a subconscious feeling that we have no control of. Attractive? Funny? Polite? Fun to be with? Otherwise known as the first impression, this crippling introduction can severly cripple a relationship. Is there any room for change? Well of course. But an improved personality with satisfactory results toward a relationship can easily be compaired to winning the lottery... it happens far and few. Even though you win, people say you act different and want the old person back. who is the winner then?

After knowing someone for a long time, one falls into a specific catagory from which there is no return. I have labeled this catagory as "The Friend Zone." You can guarantee you are in the zone when u hear phrases such as "Do you think that guy is cute, do u think i should as so and so out, and my alltime favorite... we cant hook up because itll ruin that special friendship we have."

If i have been interrested in a girl i made sure to let her know... thats why im single... the special friend zone. So New Years is coming. A party is going to be thrown at my Youth Pastors house and many of my friends will be there. New years is always special to me because you always get that "second chance" feeling toward things. A new start, a new beginning, a fresh clean slate. People make their resolutions, screwups they have been aware of for at least a year, and they want to change it for the year yet to come. New Years is also famous for the outstanding ball drop kiss. Could there be a better way to start the year? It has been a while since ive had a kiss... been even longer since ive had one with meaning behind it. I wont be out of work and to the party in time to watch the ball drop, in time to see everyone get a kiss but me, in time for and fun. I should go straight home from work, not even think about a party. what am i gonna do there anyways? watch other people have a good time while i sit alone? sure its happened the past several times ive went to a party, why stop now.

Nevertheless, I am going to play along and make a few resolutions myself...
1. Dont talk so much
2. Try to look better, not for myself, not for those i know, but for the strangers that judge me upon appearance.
3. Don't tell anyone i like them, nothing good has come from that other than rejection and akwardness.
4. Give up.
