many a news
lots of ups and downs this week. I guess really lots of ups and one down. My uncle died on tuesday. He had been battaling MS for years and recently went into kidney failure. It was my mom's brother. She is having a really hard time with it because her parents as well as my uncles kids and ex wife are all doing pretty OK because they were there through all of it and had accepted it a long time ago. Now my mom is in Japan wanting to go home to be with the family but they keep insisting she stay through her visit and enjoy it. I feel awful for her. Im not terribly affected by it because I was never really close with him. We visited a lot as kids, but I don't remember most of it and what I do remember is from the last few years when he has been really sick. I am flying out to Cleavland probably on the 21st for a memorial service on the 22nd.
in other news, I signed my intent to graduate form yesterday! woohoo. so exciting and soooo scary!
Also I may have a horse to show this summer. I have been riding this imported danish warmblood mare owned by the property owners and Catie said she would talk to them about letting me taker to a few shows! that would be AMAZING!
I got an e-mail from my parents last night after 2 days of apartment hunting in Japan and they sent me this
a super modern HUGE apartment on the 30 something floor with a floor to ceiling view of Tokyo! It was by far their favorite. It would be so much fun to go visit and see that! It's a bit out of their price range (company provided housing allowance) but sooooooo cool!
oooo and tomorrow night Anne and I are going on a triple date. I guess thats what you would call it. We are going out for coffee with Tristan (sp?) and Kelly and Morgan and Jess. so excited. We have never really been on a date with another couple. I feel so dorky but we really haven't had many couple friends so thats fun!
