Movie Review - Match Point

Geh. I just got back from another movie - advanced screening at the Bridge. This is rather fun yet also ... arther unproducting and procrastinatory.

Anyway, here's the Review for Match Point.
I admit, I first thought Match Point was a location. Like Pike's Peak. No, it's about tennis. Chris Wilton (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) is a tennis coach who begins going out with one of his pupil's sisters, Chloe (I forgot the actress). However, he has sexual feelings - and makes sexual advances on his pupil's fiance, Nola (Scarlett Johansson). This twisted relationship takes quite an explosive turn of events. But when you think it's over, it's not.
The movie's pacing felt a bit odd at first - too slow, then too fast, but in the end, it went smoothly. The acting was impeccable. The characters were all especially believable, no matter the situation. Props to Meyers on his performance as Wilton. However, much of the movie's convincing dialogue can be accredited to the great screenplay which really examined the human psyche without saying "hey, I'm examining the human psyche."
Anyhow, it's not your perfect cup of tea if you like your explosions large and mushroom-cloud forming, but if you're into sensitive stuff, go for it. I don't think it requires the Big Screen, though, like Kong did. The size of the screen only serves to enhance the depth of Meyer's pores. The emotion shows through no matter the size. I suggest you rent it when it comes out on DVD, curl up with your significant other on your dakerned living room couch, and watch it on your largest house screen. Good for popcorn, too. Overall rating, A ... it may not seem so at first, but you'll realize why when you keep watching.

On the other hand, my teacher's signature looks like a) a flower with a very fat stem, b) a rocketship, or c) a cock and three balls.
