I am now painfully aware that no-one actually reads my journal, or at least, never comments. That's half the reason I hardly ever update it.

I dont really put what I do during the day in my journal because I cant really see why any of you would be interested in what I did. If I went to a party and had a good time, or went out with friends, stayed in, whatever. Why would you care? This isn't a dig at any of you, I genuinely don't see why you would. You wouldn't know any of the people involved, the places im talking about, or even me really (apart from what I reply to your posts with).
This is a shame I think, because I'd like to know you - thats the reason I've added you - and hopefully you'd like to know me. That's why I've added some of you to yahoo or aim or whatever.

So what do I use my journal for? I post about things that interest me, my likes or dislikes, or opinions I've had coming along. Surely that's more important? That says more about me and what LJ is about than "I went shopping, thought about taking advantage of a DVD deal but didnt really buy anything". This is a journal after all.
I've added people to my friends list who share the same or similar interests. That way I know when I do post, it wont be alienating anyone and those who read may be genuinely interested in what I've found or feel. And when I read yours I'll find things that interest me that perhaps I didnt know about before. Hopefully this is the way you would feel when you read my journal. But right now it feels like I'm talking to a brick-wall.

So what am I doing wrong? I'm getting fed up of the LJ thing, I'll probably just use it to post on other peoples. Seems a bit pointless to post my own stuff. Anyways, later days.
