Kodachrome They give us those nice bright colors
They give us the greens of summers
Makes you think all the world's a sunny day, Oh yeah
I got a Nikon camera
I love to take a photograph
So mama don't take my Kodachrome away

Photo OneIn the first photograph we have Christopher, and Tiffany and their friend Ean with their parents. Tiffany was very excited about her gift bag and was showing off all her goodies.
Photo TwoI had an enjoyable conversation with Stephanie Massie who was there with her Grandfather Merle Amlin. Seems Stephanie got interested in coins because of her grandfather. They were excited about walking the bourse floor after the meeting.
Photo ThreeEmmalee & Luke were attending the meeting with their father Kevin. Luke was going through his gift bag and sorting through his coins. They were excited about attending the FUN Show.

I don't have a shot list for Fred's Y/N photos but I see we photographed some of the same children. I see Emmalee and Luke in photo three and Little Tiffany (in photo four) who is cute as a bugs ear! Christopher and his parents appear in photo five and we wrap things up with Scout raffle winners (from left to right) - Glenn Moore, Rishi Patel, Alex Clark, Matthew Sulsenti, and Joshua Smith.

Hobo Nickel Society
The carvers were busy back at the Hobo Nickel Club table. Rollie (one of the carvers) even let the kids take a crack at being a carver. He helped the children carve their very own hobo nickel. That was truly a treat for those children that were able to give it a try.

Boy Scout Merit Badge Clinic
F.U.N Welcomes The Troops!
I had the pleasure of talking to many of the scouts arriving to take part in the Coin Collecting Merit Badge Program. Here are a few pictures of the friends I made at the 2011 Summer FUN registration booth.

While their parent/guardian (Danny Javorowsky) made sure everyone was registered and all checked in for some FUN! Troop 10 from Apopka anxiously waited. The boys (pictured above) Nick Javorowsky, Charlie Ahrems, Jay Parsons, Juvon Treasure and Zach Kaminsky agreed to pose for me before heading off to participate in the Young Numismatists morning program, and later the Boy Scout Merit Badge clinic.

I caught up with Zachary Noble and Hunter Sloser of Troop 631 (pictured above) at the registration desk. They were accompanied by their mothers Annalena Noble and Dolly Slosser who were both busy making sure their sons were enrolled in both the Y/N morning program and the Boy Scout Merit Badge Clinic. I whisked the boys off to pose in front of the entrance to the FUN Convention. They did their best to Strike A Pose for the camera and were all smiles before the show. Thanks guys you two were quite charming. :)
Scouts Find The Hobo Nickel Booth
There is a rumor going around that the
Hobo Nickel Society has the best candy at the FUN Show. Well, I'm here to tell you that rumor is true. And it seems those crafty Boy Scouts of Troop 551 of Clermont and Troop 370 of Titusville found it!

Girl Scouts Rock!
The ratio of Boy Scouts to Girl Scouts at the FUN Show is surely lacking, 99% to 1%? I would like to correct that by encouraging more Girl Scouts to get involved in coin collecting. C'mon! It isn't just for boys! There are

These ladies know how to have some FUN with money! It was a pleasure talking with these young women. I hope to see them again at the next FUN show.

FUN Convention TV found Mr. Larry Lee of Coin & Bullion Reserves at the 2011 Summer Fun Convention. Business on the bourse floor was brisk all day. However, Mr. Lee graciously made time in his schedule to talk with us and offer some advice to novice numismatic collectors, bullion enthusiast and precious metals investors. The topics within this interview varied from detecting counterfeit coins, the dangers of buying gold & silver bullion, the best bullion product for beginning investors to determining how much money one should spend or invest in gold & silver bullion. We hope you find this interview helpful and informative.
