The Palm Beach Coin Club
Club History

The Palm Beach Coin Club was established in 1960 and began hosting coin shows in the late 70's. Today it is a merging of two clubs: West Palm Beach Coin Club and Palm Beach Coin Club. This occurred in the early 1990's resulting in the Palm Beach Coin Club. Today the club has over 320 members and Tony Swicer has been at the helm as president for the past 28 years. The club has a coin show on the fourth Sunday of each month held at The American Polish Club.
Purpose:

The Palm Beach Coin Club's primary purpose is to promote numismatics to everyone expressing an interest in any aspect of coin collecting.

A typical meeting night begins with dealer members setting up tables around 5:30 pm so that they are able to buy and sell coins. In addition to sales they are available to offer free advice and opinions regarding authenticity and condition of coins brought to them by members of the club or guests. Meetings begin at 7:00 pm on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month. These meetings include discussions of the current coin market, past and upcoming coin shows as well as many other numismatic topics. The club also encourages its members to give brief talks or presentations on their favorite collecting interests. Often they have programs given by a fellow member or guest speaker on a vast variety of numismatic subjects. Each meeting has an offering of free door prizes, a coin raffle and a cash jackpot drawing. Prior to the meeting ending there is an auction where members can offer their coins up for bid to the general membership.

The Palm Beach Coin Club is quite friendly and welcoming. There is a special camaraderie amongst club members. The fellowship they share make their Special Meetings even more enjoyable.
