Ms. Beth Deisher graciously donated her time and extensive numismatic knowledge participating in Florida United Numismatists free educational seminar program during the 59th Annual F.U.N Show.
Beth Deisher retired as Editor of Coin World after Thirty years of dedication to the numismatic hobby. Beth an award winning author and journalist has contributed to ten books, her latest being a labor of love entitled "Cash In Your Coins: Selling The Rare Coins You’ve Inherited". Which is a publication written for those unfamiliar with the value of the coins now in their possession.
Her lecture “Planning for Your Collection After You Depart" was presented to a standing room only crowd. The book signing that followed immediately afterward resulted in quite a long line of guests anxiously waiting for an autographed copy of her book and a quick word with its author.
Beth is currently doing research for two new books she wishes to write. Clearly, her love of journalism continues. Soon we will all be gifted with another wonderful book for our library.

Cash in Your Coins: Selling the Rare Coins You've Inherited If you have some old coins, but don't know what they are or how much they are worth, this book is for you. Easy to understand, easy to navigate, Beth wrote this guide for those who have a bunch of old coins they'd like to sell, but don't know where to start or to whom to turn. Turn the pages of this book and follow along as she guides you step-by-step on an adventure likely to end with some extra, spendable cash in your pockets.
Making The Grade The grade of a coin or level of preservation is a key factor in determining its value. Let this book help you determine the grades of your coins. Color maps show you the areas of the design that are most important and pin-point the design high points. Plus color images of the various grades allow you to compare your coins and match the grade. Every circulating design type of U.S. coin produced by the U.S. Mint since 1793 is included as well as U.S. silver, gold, and platinum bullion coins.
Coin World Almanac, 8th Edition: One-volume book of facts Curious as to the most valuable coins in the world? Do you know how many denominations of U.S. paper money have been printed? Or, who was the first person to be depicted on a U.S. coin? The answers to these questions and thousand upon thousands more can be found in this popular and useful book of facts about money. Plus there are full chapters on topics such as the Federal Reserve Bank and how it orders and distributes money throughout our commercial banking system, coinage laws and tax laws that affect collectibles, and the U.S. Mint and the U.S. Bureau of Engraving and Printing, the two agencies within the U.S. Treasury that manufacture U.S. money.

Moments to remember By Beth Deisher Commemorative coins and medals often play a prominent role in marking centennial milestones. While a few such items are being issued this year to observe the 100th anniversary of the great tragedy at sea that occurred shortly before midnight on April 14, 1912, it is the objects recovered from the wreck of the RMS Titanic and those passed on by survivors that hold the most meaning. Ohio Coin Dealers Feeling Scandal's Sting Beth Deisher tells people she is editor of Coin World magazine in Ohio and some raise an eyebrow or pause disapprovingly, she said. Shortchanged AgainPOLITICS and coin collecting are worlds apart, and ne'r the twain should meet. If we haven't coined that adage yet, we should. Politics and coins will be on the grand stage at the end of March when the Buckeye State begins the liquidation of its holdings in the now-infamous Capital Coin Fund Ltd.
