Sousuke stood with his cellphone in hand, looking out the window of his dorm room as he made his report to his superiors at Mithril. Due to the state of his shoulder, he'd been unable to type, and was thus forced to deliver the information over their secure line.

"They let him go," he said in a dull tone of voice, not even bothering to turn his head towards her.

He glanced over his shoulder at her. "I should have killed him when I had the chance."
It was pretty safe to say that no, he wasn't all right.

And the boy's following words did little to put her at ease. Frowning, she looked up at him. "Sousuke, no. You did the right thing."

Sousuke wasn't exactly known for raising his voice, but he sure was doing it now.

"You don't have to yell at me," she countered, obviously upset and then took a few tentative steps forward closing the distance between them. "You think I don't know all of that? But was the right thing to do..." The blue haired girl trailed off because she really had no idea how to add, Because I don't want you to 'kill' for me, without acknowledging how very disturbing that he would do so was to her.

"The right thing would have been to end it, right there. People like him don't stop. They just keep coming after you, over and over until they win. What are we supposed to do? They won't even let me go after him. He can do whatever the hell he wants, with all of Amalgam's resources at his disposal. What do I have to protect you? A hand gun and some rubber bullets. I don't even have a back up, anymore."

Instead, he sank down on the bed, putting a hand to his throbbing shoulder and cursing under his breath when his hand came away wet.
